The paintings featured here began after moving my studio from Brooklyn to the Hudson Valley.  Nature inspired both series All The Living Things and

Indeterminate Landscapes.  Looking very closely at the leaves of plants while researching the makings of matter: protons, electrons, and all the rest of the particles, gave rise to express the moods and emotions conveyed through the paintings. A book that can be purchased through the publications tab accompanies this series, All The Living Things.

The Indeterminate landscape series was inspired by looking at dirt beneath my feet.  I once took a ride in an airplane glider over a desert in California and saw the scale change.  The mountains became small like rocks. When the horizon disappears size becomes ambiguous. And rocks can become representations of anything the mind chooses to imagine.
